In this school Bahia Shehab has been collaborating with Ruth Loos on the act of ‘Co-creation in a multilingual and polyphonic group of artists’, and traces of this project remain present in the building. To emphasize this temporality I tried to integrate at least 1000 No's in this commissioned work. She graduated in 2015 from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) with a masters degree in Graphic Arts and Advertising, and has worked with communication agencies ever since. In 2017, she set up and performed in a monthly drawing concert with a group of Lebanese illustrators, the latest of which took placein collaboration with Samandal Comics in Sursock Museum as part of the 2021 Terdad festival. The printed version was later published in the Dada Almanach, and Ball´s performance can thus be seen as one of the key moments in the development of Dadaism. The artist comes from a literary and theatrical background and his reinvented language, without meaning or grammar, is also known as Lautsprache. The poem consists of nonsensical words; the meaning, however, resides in its meaninglessness, reflecting the chief principle behind Dadaism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e Dadaism was developed in reaction to World War 1, with its founders expressing their discontent towards violence, war, and radical politics.
