Of Liminal Threads | نسيج من الارتحال is the debut solo exhibition by Syrian-Lebanese artist and designer Ranim Halaky, first exhibited at Tashkeel in 2025. The project unfolds through themes of migration, memory, oral storytelling, and domestic archives, using the Damascene summer blanket as both material and protagonist. Through cyanotype, stamping, screen printing, weaving, and sound, the exhibition reflects on intergenerational narratives and the liminal spaces between home, displacement, and remembrance.

A series of tote bags produced through a screen-printing workshop held at the end of Of Liminal Threads. Featuring the exhibition title design alongside the tiger graphic from the original Syrian blanket brand “The Golden Tiger,” the bags extend the visual language and material references of the project into a collectively printed object.
